➢ Member Concerns and Grievances
3 Custodial issues are pending. Two are in discussion with administrators; the third has reached a Level 3 grievance.
Title I Buildings may have a problem with supervisory duty. There is some concern over equitable distribution of and the amount of supervisory duty done by paras in Title I buildings. This could affect Title I funding. CHSSA representatives met with district administrators on April 2. All are now awaiting clarification of specific Title I language from DOE.
A member reported that in one building a para was the DSTP Coordinator. This is normally done by a building administrator.
Secretaries should submit forms for mileage reimbursement when they use their cars for school business such as going to the bank and post office. One secretary said she keeps a log then makes one submission near the end of the school year.
The mother of Karen Siegfried, HOB secretary, recently passed away.
