welcomed everyone and thanked them for their continued support. All schools had
representation but MMS and MES.

Election
Year: Ed reminded everyone that all officers’
positions - President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are open for
nominations, and will be vacant if not filled.
Please stress the importance of keeping our local staffed to support our
cause. Pat Bishop has volunteered to be
nominating chair and will get the ballots out to all building reps by the April
10th meeting, and then she will come to the May 1st
meeting to count the returned ballots.
Citizens
Budget Oversight Committee: Ed will not be serving on this committee
after this year and is asking anyone who would be interested in doing so to
contact him for more details. This
committee meets the 4th Thursday of each month.
Treasurers
Report: Mary Beth advised she will be sending out the
Scholarship flyers to each building rep for distribution to all members.
Total
cash and Bank Accounts $22,692.22.
Board
Meeting: Jeannie Morris advised that February’s
meeting was mainly focused on the new expansion plan concerning the Elementary
Schools.
Action
Group: Ed advised that J. Cagney France contacted
CHSSA to invite any minority staff members to join a new Minority Action
Committee. If interested contact Mr.
France at the High School.
For
the good of the cause: Ed advised that he canvassed 18 Para’s asking
for their input on next year’s calendar draft.
The majority asked that the in-service para “off” day be sandwiched
with the President’s weekend as it was this year - not in March as is being
proposed. He contacted C. Petitgout with
the results.
Two
members who have worked for the district many years but never received shirts
will be given new shirts.
The
next meeting is April 10th at MES, 4pm. The May meeting will be May 1st at
Green Turtle at Five Points Plaza at 4pm.
