For the good of
the cause: Ed advised that our retirement pension
benefits are distributed as follows: If
you retire at 55years old with 15 years of service there is a penalty clause. If you retire at 60 with 15 years of service
there is no penalty clause.
Absences - If you plan to
be out at anytime and know in advance, please submit your Aesop request at
least one month in advance. It appears
that many employees have tried to put in for time off on the 18th of
January, an in-service day this month, but also submitted their forms only
recently. The DO has the right within
our contract to deny leave if more that 15% of a group is out, i.e., 15% paras,
15% teachers, etc.
Donated Sick
Leave - If you want to donate sick leave to a specific
employee please specify so, otherwise it will go into a general bank. When you donate days the recipient will
receive ½ of what you donate, i.e., for every one of your days the recipient
will get a half day.
The
next meeting will be at the High School on February 6th, at
4pm. Minutes respectfully submitted by
Joan Williamson.
