Betts, and Tim Eitner.
Treasurers
Report
– Total Assets = $21,601.97 – Dinner this year which Ed congratulated everyone
on cost us $1,461.59.
New Member
Shirts
– Mary Beth has bids from four vendors who will embroider polo shirts for our
members. Samples were passed around and
all agreed on a short sleeve and a long sleeve shirt. Both shirts will be available in both blue
and yellow/gold colors. It was also
voted and agreed upon that for the first year we will offer to pay $10.00 of
the cost for any member who would like to purchase the shirt. New members will receive one shirt free. The shirts will hopefully be ready in a few
months.
Membership
Rosters
– Joan reminded all that the membership rosters needed to be returned to Lisa
by December 12th. Lisa advised
that CHHS, BMS, MES, and HOB had returned theirs already.
Negotiations
Survey
– Joan passed out surveys to all building reps present. All are to Xerox copies for all their members
and have them fill out and return to Ed by December 19th at HOB.
Negotiations
Committee
– Ed advised that the committee is still seeking a secretary, but has
representation from the following job categories; Instructional Para, Job
Coach, Technical Support, Cota, and Custodians.
Vacation Policy
–
Ed and Joe both advised that we not accept the District offer to change the
Board Policy #537 at this time, but rather to wait until it can be discussed
during negotiations. All agreed. Joe will draft a letter to Dr. Carson
expressing our wishes.
Building Reps
Duties: Ed and Joan explained that the SEC has been
without a building rep for several months while the previous building rep is
out on sick leave. According to the
by-laws, the Executive Committee can appoint a new

building
rep if a rep is absent or not able to fulfill duties. We will be soliciting for a new SEC
representative. In the interim, Deb
Priddy will inform SEC on info they need.
The good of the
cause
– Mary Beth also advised that the by-laws state that each building will have
just one representative. Perhaps since
in the CHHS we exceed that, we need to look into amending our by-laws.
Peggy
Kirby advised that Tim Eitner has been voted as Custodial representative for
the High School.
Meeting
was adjourned at 5:30. Minutes
respectfully submitted by Joan Williamson.
Next meeting is January 4th at Grotto’s Grand Slam at 4pm.
